Plastic hanging pellet materials generally use three materials: rope, plastic, and bronzing paper.
1. The ropes are widely used, such as polyester rope, nylon rope, rayon rope, hemp rope, cotton rope, paper rope, metal wire and so on. Polyester rope is the most widely used because of its good strength, not easy to fluff, not easy to bend, and good color fastness. Nylon ropes and human silk ropes were used more in the early days, but because of their easy bending and deformation or easy fluffing, they are now rarely used. Some other types are sometimes chosen by designers according to their style needs. Such as hemp rope, cotton rope, paper rope, but these three materials have several fatal shortcomings, because they are natural plant materials, each batch of blanks will have problems such as color difference, more or less impurities and fluffing . The color is not easy to be uniform and the color fastness is poor. In order to compensate for this color fastness, it is usually protected by overwax, which can improve the color fastness and press down the wool to a certain extent. Therefore, these three materials are not recommended for hanging pellets that require a high degree of consistency.
2. The most commonly used plastics are PS and ABS, and PP can also be used. Among them, PS is the most widely used because of its relatively cheap price and stable performance.
3. Bronzing paper, bronzing paper can be roughly divided into two categories, one is Jinbo type bronzing paper, the other is pigment type bronzing paper (also called Sebo). Jinbo-type anodized aluminum generally has a metallic texture, while Sebo looks like a printed color when it is hot. Relatively speaking, Jinbo type bronzing paper will be more wear-resistant (color fastness) than pigment bronzing paper. Therefore, it is recommended to use gold foil type electrochemical aluminum or sebo type which is better in black and white. For higher requirements, other colors can be glued for protection. Generally speaking, because bronzing only covers a very thin (tens of micrometers) layer of anodized aluminum film on the product, it can easily be worn through by friction, especially the color pool. Therefore, the friction of products with hot stamping should be minimized.
